Is Lev LaLev a charity?

Lev LaLev is a voluntary non-profit facilitator, not a charity recipient. We operate as a giving conduit, channeling 100% of donations directly to registered beneficiary organisations. We don't retain funds or operate charitable programs ourselves—instead, we streamline the process of supporting multiple charities efficiently.

Why give via Lev LaLev rather than directly to a charity?

How much should I pledge?

Any amount you're comfortable with! Even small daily amounts add up to meaningful impact. Some people give R5-10 per day, others R50-100 per month. The key is consistency - regular giving, no matter the amount, creates lasting change.

Which charities do you support?

We support trusted South African Jewish charities across various categories including education, healthcare, social services, and community development. All charities are carefully vetted to ensure credibility, transparency, and measurable impact.

How do I know my money is being used properly?

We work only with established, reputable charities that have proven track records, strong governance, and transparent reporting. You'll also receive regular updates about the impact of your donations. As a conduit platform, we facilitate the transfer of funds directly to these charities—we don't retain or manage donations ourselves.

What about Section 18A tax certificates?In Development

We're in the process of finalizing Section 18A approval so that donations to our Section 18A partner charities will be fully tax deductible. We're not quite there yet—hold tight while we wrap up the paperwork.

Can I choose which charities to support?

Currently, we rotate through all our partner charities automatically to ensure fair distribution. This approach ensures that every charity receives support and that your giving reaches a wide variety of causes. Future platform features may include more customization options.
